Being home i focused only on organizing Emma's bedroom ,i was almost done decorating it with so many dolls and stuffed toys, i got a white colored crib for her with few mini pictures of our family on the edges.I covered the ceiling with stars and moon which used to glow in dark, i was excited that Emma was going to have her own room from tomorrow.
"BOOOOO" a sudden shout from behind scared me."HaHaHaHa..mommy got scared" holding Emma David said in a teasing tone as i turned around."You really scared me
to death" i said laughing." I missed you both..."said my husband with a small hug."So how was it with your dad? Had a great time..." he asked.I was determined
not to bring anything of that to David,"Great ....Dad was happy seeing Emma" i said.
After dinner i placed Emma between me and David and turned on her side , expecting a good night sleep.But life had decided to show me unusual things .Somewhere in the midnight i saw a shadow
sleeping beside Emma ,scared i slowly tried peering ...."MOM" i screamed ,David who was lying the other side of me ...woke up with a jerk."What happened .... nightmare?" he asked and handed me a glass of water, gulping it as fast as i could i asked David "don't you see mom sleeping beside Emma".He looked again at Emma then at me."There is no one in this room apart from three of us" he said.His words terrified me as i could see her sleeping right beside Emma.At that point of time i realized that it was much more than just dreams.
I went to a psychiatrist very next day looking for answers to my questions. Waiting for doctor in a room with the brain ,body scan reports ,"Was i hallucinating about my mom ,am i sick... , "all these thoughts bombarded me at once and my head started spinning with these thoughts."can i have your reports" i heard a voice from behind striking all my thoughts."doctor will be here soon" she said and left.I was worried about Emma as David was taking care of her for the first time alone, i was about
to call David when i heard a knock at door"."Hey Anna how are you" doctor entered the room greeting me."I have gone through your reports and there's nothing to worry about ,you are perfectly fine ...i think your mom's death have affected you in a very strange way that you might be seeing things, i will write you some anti anxiety pills that should be ok" he said and continued "mmm...there is something i would like to show you" he said pointing to an image in the X-RAY report.When i observed it keenly it looked like a face exactly at the place where i have a tattoo."There are few things which science has no answer for, it must be a hard mass deposited "he said in a confused tone.Not worrying about that he wrote a prescription and handed to me.
Days passed by i still had no answers to my questions, there was no one i could talk to or share my feelings as everyone thought i was hallucinating.I tried Overcoming my anxiety visiting church everyday."Hello i am James Fernandes" voice beside me said, a tall guy with blonde hair aged somewhere between 45-50 put his hand forward for a shake hand."Can we have a word over a coffee ....it's important" he asked."sure" i said.
Sipping coffee slowly he said"I know you may find me strange saying this but there is
something unusual surrounding you that i sense everyday i see you in the church.." listening to that comforted me in a way."Don't worry i am not here to scare you ,i am here to help you "he
continued.
I had no reason to hide things from him and stated everything i knew was happening at once, including the X-ray images.He patiently heard what i said and started observing
the images.He hold my hand for a minute closed his eyes and opened.I was eagerly waiting for him to speak...."Some souls find it difficult to leave this world as they crave for happiness and life with their loved ones.Your mother's soul kept wandering after her biological body was completely dead for the same, until it found a way to stay with you."he said.Looking at the exclamatory expression all over my face he continued ."Through this tattoo....her soul resides in the tattoo you are wearing"he said.There was a lot going in my mind ,i wanted to ask him so much . " why couldn't i see her before and why suddenly now"i asked in a confusing tone.
"She was always there with you Anna at every moment, only thing is you couldn't see her with naked eye , But now she has a reason for showing up" .Sliding a glass of water near me he continued
" she has very few days left ,She will have to leave this world ,she doesn't belong here.And she needs your help for that".Listening to this i couldn't decide whether i should feel happy that her soul is still with me or feel sad about her leaving soon.
"Can't she stay" saying that i couldn't control my emotions and started crying."Souls have their own world ,Their world and ours is separated by one thin line ,crossing that line is against the rule of nature.She can't do this on her own, you need to set her soul free" he explained.
"How can i help her" i asked him wiping off tears ."Till you have that tattoo attached to your skin the soul can't leave, you need to remove it from your body,Doing this the soul will lose a medium and will be able to leave."I know it's difficult but you will have to do this ,your mother's soul can never rest in peace once she is trapped in this world and we are running out of time.Please call me if you need any help" he said handing me his business card and left.
Holding my tattoo ,i preferred walking home.I saw my mother walking beside me .I was able to hear her..." My dear I am immortal in your thoughts and in your heart ,you have all my memories
safe with you besides you have Emma and a loving husband .I am never gone, you will find me beside you whenever you need me .I will always love you all and miss you"Saying this she separated both my hands as a sign to let go and vanished.I stood rooted to the spot for few minutes.

Losing her again was even more painful than before.I wished i had some more time with her.The pain in my heart hurt me more as i was going through the tattoo removal process.After that day i never saw her .Time passed i started missing her again, i needed someone to talk to and suddenly remembered the business card .I called that number "Hello James fernandes"i asked .A voice replied "No it's Emily his daughter .He died two years ago who is speaking....?.....HELLO.......".................HELLO..
